German Rottweiler Breeding in 2001

219 kennels with an affix have produced at least one ADRK controlled litter in 2001.

The oldest, active kennel is Erich and Hartmut Weber’s Vom Köhlerwald kennel. This kennel was created by their father, and it is still located at its native place at Hochdorf. This kennel had its days of glory during the 1930’s, with the tenors Sieger Hackel, ZB # 15691, born in 1929, which was the first Weltsieger, also with Ido, ZB # 16582, born the year after, and whose at the origin of many major, modern lines. Let’s name a few others, which have been active for more than 30 years:- Von Bickesheim kennel (Durmersheim) to Heinz Enderle, which produced two litters in 2001 (L et M). several studs contributed to the fame of this kennel, the latest being multi-champion Ayk (picture above) and Enzo

- Vom Grüntenblick kennel (Oy-Pethersthal), from which were issued famous Falco, Gary, Muck and especially Noris.

- Von Hohegeiss kennel (Braunlage-Hohegeiss) to Siegfried Holland and Rosi Bomball, which produced two litters in 2001. Major current tenors were born in this kennel, like Hero and Hasko for instance.

- Vom Siedlerpfad kennel, to Dietrich Hüfken (Duisburg) which produced some top studs, among which Brando, a son of Benno Vom Algauer Tor (son of Dux V Hungerbühl, Bulli’s brother) and many champions too.

- Vom Kressbach kennel (Ölbronn-Dürnn) to Werner and Wilfried Walter, which produced two litters this year. This kennel distinguished itself thanks to its strong tempered dogs, Amigo (father of stud Hassan V Königsgarten), Jero and Orso (the latter was used by the most renown German breeders, although it died very early.) recently, two brothers are the favourite of some German breeders, although they have no convincing selection titles, Lux and Leo. The latter mated twice famous female Aika Von Der Mandelburg.

- Von Der Löwenau Kennel to Eva-Maria Renecke (Lauenau), famous for having produced the great star from the late 60’s, Ferro Von Der Löwenau, ZB # 43819, which was the father of great descendents, among which was KS 76 Ari Vom Waldhuck, which was himself the father of KJS 78 Burga Vom Rauchfang and KS 73 Greif Vom Fleischer.

- Vom Markgräferland kennel to Ernst Ritz (Efringen-Kirchen), which was famous as early as 1967 thanks to the stud Donar V Markgräferland, ZB # 42883, then in 1985 with KS Yvonne. Yvonne was the mother of many champions, among which was KJS 87, Jenni Vom Markgräferland. Let’s point out that Donar was Cora Von Der Simonskaul’s father.

- Vom Rauchfang kennel to Franz-Josef Hartmann (Selters), still active with a litter last year. Everybody still remembers the excellent Burga Vom Rauchfang, BJS 1978, Dux (junior World Champion 1981).

- Vom Schwaiger Wappen kennel (Schwaig), founded by Xaver Meixer, which is undoubtedly one of the most influent kennel of the last 30 years, from Dingo to King.

- Von Tengen kennel to Karl Glöckler (Tengen), which produced a litter in 2001, and whose current star is young male Eyck.

- Von Der Werther Stadt kennel to Gustav Bertram (Werther), which made its best result in 2000, when their male Arko was crowned Klubsieger.

We should also not forget to mention Von Der Waldachquelle kennel, to the Kübler family. This kennel was famous at the end of the 60’s with descendents of Bulli v Hungerbühl, Arko (ZB # 44937) and Brando (ZB # 45727) which proved after several matings a bad reproducer as more than half of its descendents were hip tested + or ++. This breeders had distinguished himself during the first ADRK Klubsieger Zuchtschau in 1971 in Rottweil, with the young Arco (KJS). Arco was born on November 9 1969, from Valco and Sussi Von Der Waldachquelle.

In the city of Rottweil, the most ancient active kennel is that of Hildegard Lipka’s, Vom Kriegsdamm kennel, which produced a litter in 2001.(W).
